Players are encouraged to attend both the Saturday and Sunday sessions if they would like to be considered for selection in the 2015-16 Junior Rep teams. Any player who thinks they have exceptional circumstances which will prevent them attending the trials (or at least one day of the trials) should contact the Director of Coaching, Darren Best, or a representative from the Coaching Committee. All requests for exemption from trials (or part of the trial program) must be in writing.
Email Darren Best at email@example.com.
Players, please come prepared for an intensive workout in your basketball gear:
- Reversible singlet (if you have one)
- Water bottle
- Your own basketball (if you have one)
A rep trial fee of $10 per player for the weekend will be payable prior to trialling at session one (payable on the day) to cover court hire costs for the trials.
Any player who has played Junior Rep for an association in the previous year, other than one of the three affiliated clubs - Heat, the Cyclones and Clippers - must complete a “Permission to Train” form and have it signed by the association you played for prior. All players trialling must also hold current registration with Basketball Queensland (BQ). This can also be organised on the day if required.

The SCBA Rep Committee will conduct an information session for the parents of juniors wishing to trial for Junior Rep. This is so they can gain an understanding of the anticipated format and cost of the 2015 Rep program, and also understand the expectations of players and their parents as a member of a SCBA Rep team. We would expect at least one parent to attend this meeting. Details of the date of this meeting will be published on the SCBA Facebook site and website shortly.
The following timetable information also appears in the downloadable SCBA Junior Rep Trials 2015-16 Flyer below.
